One of the visual assignments I decided to do for my final project was a story map. It was worth 3.5 stars and I used it to represent my character’s journey looking for their sister. Here is how I created it:

Step 1: Go to the KnightLab Story Map site and click “Make a StoryMap.”

Step 2: Title your project then click “Create.”

Step 3: The first photo you upload will your title slide. Upload your photo or insert the photo’s URL. Then add a headline or title for your Story Map.

Step 4: Upload the rest of your photos, and type in the name or coordinates of the location where each photo was taken.

Step 5: When you have finished uploading your photos and geotagging them, click “Share” in the upper right corner, and share to the platform of your choice.

Step 6: To embed your Story Map into a WordPress site, you will need to download and install the iFrame plugin.

Step 7: Once the plugin has been installed on your site, copy the text in the “Embed” section and paste it into a block on your site. Then, change “HTML” to “Preview.”
